1) Time spent at home: American’s time spent at home increased dramatically post Covid and stayed high. A Covid trend that has remained.

2) Waymo market share: When Waymo launched in August 2023, Uber and Lyft were at 66% and 34% share in San Francisco. 15 months later in November 2024, Waymo is at 22% - the same as Lyft - with Uber at 55%. As Waymo expands, how much market share can it grab?

3) TikTok Shop is growing rapidly: Social Commerce is the new category w/n eCommerce and TikTok is a big beneficiary. 80% of TikTok users are aware of its shopping feature and 50% have already made a purchase. Pretty remarkable rise in a very short amount of time.

4) US Government Employee base: There is a lot of talk about Trump reducing govt employee base. But how many government employees are there in the United States?

Approx 23 million public employees:

• 14.9 million in local government (in green),

• 5.5 million in state government (in red), and

• 2.4 million in the federal government (in blue).

Most of the increase has come in local government employee base. Note that US population has also grown in this time frame. So as a % of population, the trend is less dramatic - in fact its stable to downward trend over last decade (except for the fall and recover pre/post covid).

Firing a lot of govt employees (with stable jobs) will have consequence for the economy and the stock market.

5) Boeing’s troubled recent history: Boeing delivered only 348 planes in 2024, down 34% from 2023 and a far cry from 750-800 planes it used to deliver every year from 2015-18. Do you see Boeing making a turnaround?
